Over time, the skin ages with the slowing down of physiological cellular mechanisms. Relaxation (laxity) and thinning of the skin, together with the formation of wrinkles, are the most obvious aspects of this process, directly related to a steep reduction of hyaluronic acid in the extracellular matrix of the epithelium.

How does it work?

As a stabilized product, Profilo lasts in the skin for around 28 days, during which it stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin, through the slow release of hyaluronic acid. The result is significant tissue improvement, Profilo being is not just a “skin booster” or filler, but a treatment with a significant, visible lifting effect.

How many sessions are needed?

2 sessions are recommended, one month apart. Effects will be visible, on average, for 6 months after treatment. Thus, during one year, two treatment protocols can be carried out. The esthetician from the AVRA team will inject the product into the superficial subcutaneous layer, through the patented BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) techniques that minimize the risks of the procedure, ensure a natural result and maximize the fluidity of the product in the tissue.

Profhilo advantages:

In Profilo, L-HA (low molecular weight hyaluronic acid) is slowly released from HA hybrid complexes and therefore does not trigger inflammatory reactions, making it highly biocompatible. It ensures hydration of the skin, especially in the epidermis – the Hydro effect.

H-HA (High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid) in Profilo provides a stable architecture of HA in the dermis. This gives a volumetric effect – the Lift effect.

The highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market

The mix of 32 mg of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (1100-1400 kDa) and 32 mg of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (80-100 kDa), goes through the patented thermal stabilization process, whereby it is heated and cooled (without to use chemical crosslinking agents).

How is PROFHILO different from hyaluronic acid fillers?

Both dermal fillers and Profhilo contain hyaluronic acid. Dermal fillers are designed to add instant volume to the treated area.

Profhilo works differently, integrating into the skin and triggering natural, anti-aging processes and having a hydrating, toning and brightening effect. In addition, Profhilo does not contain synthetic additives such as BDDE, which minimizes the risk of side effects.

Both treatments have different but equally impressive benefits.

How is a treatment session conducted?

Before starting the treatment, benefit from a consultation with the esthetician from the AVRA team. You will discuss what you hope to achieve from the treatment to make sure that Profhilo is the right choice for you. Your doctor will also ask you questions about your medical history to check that the treatment is suitable and safe for you.

The treatment itself will be very quick, on average 10 minutes, depending on the number of areas to be treated.

The doctor will make a series of small injections to administer the treatment, in the BAP points (Bio Aesthetic Points). At the facial level, for example, Profhilo requires only five injections in strategic points in the face area. There may be a slight stinging sensation as Profhilo is injected, but this will only last a few seconds.

Two treatments four weeks apart will be needed for best results.

How long does it take to see the results? Is a recovery period required?

Profhilo is a treatment that does not require a recovery period. You will be able to carry out your usual activities immediately after the treatment and the esthetician will give you full aftercare instructions.

There is generally an immediate improvement in the skin due to the moisturizing effect, but it may take a few weeks before you start to see the final results of the treatment – because Profhilo encourages your body to produce its own collagen and elastin for an anti-aging effect.
