What is chemical peeling?
Chemical peeling is a modern procedure for skin care and aesthetics, used all over the world for its extraordinary results. By exfoliating and by applying a beneficial cocktail of acids, on the skin, in a personalized way, chemical peeling has a real „reset” effect, rejuvenating the skin.
A chemical peel helps in the regeneration of the skin which, at the same time, regains its health and tone and suppleness. Any type of skin can benefit from the effects of a chemical peel, regardless of a patient’s age.
Chemical peeling performed at the AVRA Institute is safe and effective, adapted to each need, and offers formulas suitable for a wide range of skin conditions. Chemical skin peeling is administered exclusively by licensed specialists.
From the point of view of the evolution of facial chemical peeling methods, in dermatology, three types of peeling are used, depending on the depth to which it acts, on the skin level:
Superficial chemical peeling: this type of peeling can penetrate part of the epidermis (the first layer of the skin), depending on the acids used and their concentration.
Medium Chemical Peel: it affects the entire epidermis and may even cross the dermo-epidermal junction (the boundary between the first and second layers of the skin).
Deep Chemical Peeling: Penetrates to the middle or deep dermis, and is no longer used these days due to difficult recovery and high risk of side effects.
The results of the treatments depend on your health, sex, age, etc., and may be different from person to person.
